Coastal Waiake Home

To create a home with improved flow throughout which is in harmony with the surrounding coastal environment.  The original kitchen was set back deep in the centre of the house which was dark and closed off to the living.  The office now takes this space but is opened up to the light and view by installing double sliding opaque joinery to draw in the peaceful scenery.

By changing the downstairs layout the hub of the home now centres around the stunning open plan designer kitchen, with generous entertaining and living spaces opening out either side.  A gorgeous private garden courtyard for long afternoon lunches and drinks in the sun on one side, and large decks overlooking the spectacular view of Waiake Bay on the other.  This dual outdoor living space allows you to follow the sun and entertain all year round.
